To see - to see clearly and with a welcoming hearth - the radiant rain-coated surfaces of so many single leaves, the many slats that make a board, the tiles which together form gleaming roofs. What joy! What joy, to view this macroscopic world! What joy, to feel what cannot be beheld! To see the Spectacle of Nature on its many scales is Man undue.  We are born of necessity, yet dream to see the fungal canopies, reaching far and deep; the bustling colonies of burrowers; the nestling insects and microbial wonders; the atmosphere swirling and dancing in gusts; the bacteria building homes in every gut.
