Several Serious Cases

Several serious cases have come to my attention  of patients who present no overt symptoms  of perversion, maladaption, psychosis nor dementia  yet nonetheless harbour beliefs which if acted upon, an unlikely but real possibility in my honest estimation, produce non-negligible existential risk. De machine

De tanden van het laatste wiel Bijten in zijn scheen Hij zal nog een stap zetten Maar nu,  Alleen. Hij weet noch hoe hij lopen moet Noch hoeveel langer hij het ijzer kan verdragen. Hij kijkt omhoog, de straat in, de gevels uit het lood geslagen. Door welke reuzenhand, door welke almacht, welke onwrikbare intentie? Hij vraagt zich af waarom tussen de goedlopende etalages, restauranten en bazaren De machine moet malen en raspen en bijten.  Met het laatste tandwiel, in zijn scheen. Hij vreest dat de vellen eraf schrapen  Tot ze hangen rond zijn enkel en Het zaagblad zijn scheen doormidden freest. Er is huid in het spel en het spel is net begonnen. Hij kijkt op en hij verbeeld, achter de ramen, op balkonnen, hangend over balustraden Een menigte, zwaaiend.

D.A.R.E.

One day after school I was with the kid who looked cool  Thought I was looking real smooth but really playing the fool Barefoot (not by the beach but) by his dads pool,  Cause his dad had a pool and my shoes  Betrayed I was poor, he knew of course but I'd walked to his place that way too cause That day I was playing at being the same But in a rigged game to take part is to lose Its not that you can't choose But to some you're a tool: you've got your use So, Do you D.A.R.E. Do you D.A.R.E To say no? To weed and to blow To dealers and dope Do you know who you are and do you D.A.R.E. to stay true to your core?
